“Following a short and effective pitch at the Grand Challenge networking event, Blue Bear Systems Research Ltd asked Dr Julia Richardson of Stellar Research Services Ltd to build a team and subsequently compile a bid appropriate to meeting the UK MoD “Grand Challenge”. Julia worked very hard in speaking to and assessing prospective team members from academia and SME’s through to the large defence contractors. The resultant team, “Team Stellar”, under Julia’s management, successfully developed and bid the “SATURN” solution. Julia is now managing the Team Stellar development programme and this has already made significant strides in just the first quarter with the development and trials of a number of system and sub-system components; this progress is due to Julia’s excellent programme management and people skills allied to the unique blend of skills, enthusiasm, technologies and personalities present within the team. It’s a perfect mix!”
